Job Purpose Statement

The SAP Analyst (BASIS) –will install, configure, and maintain SAP programs. Work with business and SAP functional users to understand the data used to generate the businesses KPIs and metrics as well as the workflows used for their delivery.

Continuously review the best technologies to deliver the solution and help drive adoption through system upgrade on SAP, technical implementations, communication and training to super users. Support technical implementation and

upgrades on sap ecc6 , success factors and sap hana.

Key Result Areas

Basis

Perform User administration and

role/profile assignment for all sap systems.

Perform Role Creation, Modification and

Full trouble shooting support for the users

authorization failures in all SAP applications

and resolving the Security issues and support in integration testing of Roles/Profiles.

Maintain the integrity of the SAP

environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly.

Distribute the online SAP user workload

and monitor and manage the SAP background job workload.

Perform OSS / SAP Service Marketplace:

Searching notes & creating OSS messages for the respective queries to improve the Performance. And software download, Maintain System Data, License Key & Maintenance Certificate, Developer & object registrations and connection maintenance etc.

Starting and Stopping SAP instance/(s).

Preventive Maintenance activities – Support Pack/Plug-in implementations, Kernel upgrades, OSS note applications and to apply support pack for Java using JSPM.

SAPGUI/SAPLGPAD troubleshooting and

maintenance/upgrades/installations.

Prepare and maintain system documentation, procedures, and standards.

Perform SAP Database Administration –

Space management, database reorganizations, and design and implement backup and restore strategy,

maintain database security, administer database performance, database problem determination and resolution, etc.

Perform SAP Installation, Post installation,

client administration, System Refresh and Post-Refresh activities as required.

Perform parameter modification, Buffer,

memory management, performance tuning and troubleshoot.

Perform SAP Licensing – Identify inactive

user, user classification and prepare System Measurement result for SAP Global Audit team.

Support

Provide Group Support for SAP Functional support on HCM, SUCESSFACTORS, TRAVEL, MM AND FI-CO Modules.

Support, maintain and audit existing SAP

functional modules and BI systems, to agreed SLAs.

Effectiveness of integration of ERP, BPC and

SAP PI/PO strategy / roadmap with the bank’s

business direction.

Compliance

Efficiency and Effectiveness of the business intelligence (systems, people, policy, controls and procedures) with regard to protection against exposure to and impact of risks associated with data loss, corruption and/or unauthorized access on the SAP systems.

Ideal Person Specifications

Academic qualifications:

An undergraduate degree or its equivalent in a Technology related field i.e. Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software engineering, IT.

Working Knowledge of Windows or UNIX or Linux Operating systems.

Professional training:

Should have strong hands-on knowledge in SAP HANA technologies, SAP PI/PO , SAP ECC6

SAP Certification in BASIS and relevant Functional areas e.g. MM, FICO, HCM, TRAVEL,

Knowledge in SAP HANA and SAP Success factors is added advantage.

Knowledge of using Solution Manager for change management is an added advantage.

ITIL Intermediate and other relevant professional qualifications in ICT field would be an added advantage.

Desired work experience:

Three years’ experience in SAP Basis in medium to large organizations.

Working experience in a bank or other financial services organization will be an added

advantage.

Experience in SAP NetWeaver or SAP PI/PO be an added advantage.
