Job Specification:
Preparing food
Duties and Responsibilities
The Cook is responsible for assisting in: –
Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Ensuring all food and other kitchen items are stored properly
Monitoring stock and place orders when necessary
Preparing of food and beverages
Setting up buffet service areas
Replenishing of food stuffs during service
Keeping a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Reporting on any defective equipment
Person Specification:
For appointment to the grade, a candidate must have the following: –
Diploma in Food and Beverage Production or its equivalent from an Institution recognized in
Kenya
Certificate in culinary, baking and pastry techniques
Valid Public Health Food handlers’ certificate
Two (2) years relevant experience
Proficiency in Computer Application will be an added advantage
Fulfil chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya
