Tharaka Nithi County Mortician (Farewell Home Attendant) Jobs in Kenya
Requirements for appointment
Be a Kenyan citizen;
KCSE Certificate;
Certificate in Mortuary Attendance, embalming and grief counselling or any mortuary related field from a recognized institution in Kenya;
At least two (2) years relevant work experience in a busy mortuary or a reputable Funeral Home;
Good interpersonal and communication skills; and
Strong English and Swahili language skills
Duties and responsibilities
The Mortician shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following;
Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed
Recording bodies
Washing the bodies, embalming and refrigeration
Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems
Counselling the relatives
Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures
Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor
