DC Comics hero The Question had legendary plot armor during the Dennis O’Neil run. In one fight a mook has a gun to the back of Question’s head and pulls the trigger. When nothing happens, the mook looks at the gun quizzically and simply says “Misfire?” before Question pummels him. The Question once DID get shot in the head and dumped in the river.
