Which movie should have been great, but had a really terrible cast?

That entire movie was a burning dumpster fire, from the writing, CG, “artistic choices”, Nickelodeon, and the director.

Tbh, the one to lay blame on is Nickelodeon for forcing them to use terrible actors and choosing a bad director.
