I worked temp jobs in the summers in college, often as a warehouse worker. At one job, NO ONE would tell me what I had to do. So, I generally grabbed a broom and slowly swept, followed by long periods of sitting on a box somewhere. This was before smartphones and the internet, so there was nothing to do. I lasted a week and told the temp place to find me something else. The funny part was on the last day, some manager approaches me and tells me he loves my work and wants to hire me full time. I just said no because I was going back to school soon, which was true.
