Redditers who do meal prep for weeks or months What are your staple dishes and how do you preserve them?

Dad of two in a family of four here, do most of the cooking.

Don’t do meal “prep” for weeks and months, but after COVID launched prices into the atmosphere, I do buy a lot of larger cuts of meat when on sale and break them down.

Often pick up whole chickens and freeze six portions of dark meat and two of white, plus the backbone and other bones go into stocks or soups.

So, with the exception of homemade pasta about once a week, no staple dishes, just a large amount of varietal use of what I take out of the freezer and add to whatever fresh or frozen veggies are available and on sale that week.
