What’s a game franchise that you love the lore but don’t like the game play ?

I would say elder scrolls, but then came ESO and like a million extra writers who completely didn’t understand the series.

Like, you’re not really supposed to know the truth of what happened when Nerevar died. Post ESO, they just go around destroying ambiguity cause they can’t come up with anything decent themselves. They’re like “Oh and Sotha Sil had a pet guar between the ages of five and eleven, but then his dad sold it and that’s why he went bad”
