yes! in the past, they weren’t taxed because they contributed to the community but now, especially with mega-churches where the leaders make millions, they no longer contribute to the community. i would tax them but allow for deductions equal to what they contribute to the local community. if they have a soup kitchen or a food pantry for the poor, that’s deductible for example.
